Green Beans with Sazon con Culantro y Achiote

Living and working in New York has given me the opportunity to venture outside of my Italian heritage. I know that you can go to a variety of ethnic restaurants in the city and try food from just about anywhere in the world. However, working with people from different backgrounds, gave me an opportunity to share real ethnic "family"recipes. Simple, uncomplicated and delicious. A few years back, a friend of mine, Mirella, ( an amazing cook) showed me how to make green beans, Honduran style.

Green Beans with Sazon con Culantro y Achiote

1 small onion, chopped
2 tbs olive oil
garlic powder
1 packet of Goya "Sazon con Culantro y Achiote" seasoning mix
1 lb fresh green beans, steamed and cut

Saute onion in olive oil until golden, add steamed green beans and one packet of Sazon con Achiote and toss. Sprinkle with garlic powder to taste. Enjoy.

** You can use 2 cans of drained cut green beans instead of fresh.
