Nutella Hot Chocolate

My sons just love Nutella.  I'm not sure when they developed a taste for it as I really never kept it on hand when they were growing up.  Skippy Peanut Butter was the "biggy "back then. Come to think of it, they also love sushi and I don't remember making that either.  I guess it's a sign of the "times".

My niece, Anne Marie, knowing how much her cousins love Nutella, found and shared this recipe with them. (She just loves to baby her cousins)

If your a Nutella fan, give it a try.  Remember,  the cold weather is right around the corner and this Nutella Hot Chocolate just might take the chill out.

Nutella Hot Chocolate
  • 1 cup milk
  • 2 tbsp. Nutella
  • 1 tbsp liqueur, such as Frangelico or Godiva Chocolate (optional)
  • Whipped cream, for topping
  • Sprinkle with cinnamon (optional)
Heat milk in a 1-qt. saucepan over medium heat until just beginning to bubble at edges, about 3 minutes. Remove from heat and whisk in remaining ingredients until smooth. Top with whipped cream, sprinkle a little cinnamon on top and serve.
